Beautiful blissful beat. Fill my heart, move my feet. Make me feel a million things, fill my soul, move my energy rings. Open my heart, let me feel the full impact of your art. Love and sadness, sensory joy, you allow me to dream. Open me to your pulsing magic day and night, let me move in pure, dancing delight.
Music delights, it’s wonderful. Music enthuses and energises. It can trigger sadness and sorrow and memories of loss. Tunes can be used to convey messages of love to someone you care for or who you want to care for. Those messages can be simple and swift “I love you,” or they can be complex and deep like Mozart or Bach, they can even be total joyful gibberish designed for nothing more than bringing a smile to your face and get you boogie-ing to the beat – go listen to Queen’s Bohemian Rapsody.
What a wonderful, divine gift. Music speaks to the soul. Directly, without all the clutter that so many other forms of communication bring with them to complicate messaging. And when music is combined with rhyme it becomes a force so powerful it can penetrate the most stubborn mind. Think of nursery rhymes for kids and how they’re structured. How they allow us to learn words and concepts, how they embed themselves into our subconscious. Think about how easy it is to remember the words to a song you really love. How one that speaks to you does so in that penetrating way that virtually nothing else does or can.
Oh, the wonderful gift of song.
Think about how powerfully a song can jog a memory, take you back to a place, or even back into the presence of another being, maybe even someone who’s no longer with you… Music can impact us in the most emotional of ways. It affects moods and thought patterns, makes us giddy with excitement or even sorrow, moves us mentally and physically. A neuroscientific pathway straight to our cores a dopamine release born of connection and delight.
Music relieves stress and retells the stories of yonder and old. It teaches us, it brings us into the realms of the masculine and feminine in a most beautiful way. Science backs all these facts up, of course, but is there any need to even consult the science when we all, universally feel these truths so powerfully? We think likely not.
It is this incredible wonder, the connecting with each other that has brought Happy Earth People to a place where we have put together our own playlist to share with you.
